A BILL to amend article nine, chapter nine of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-two,
relating to providing that persons who are otherwise eligible
and whose income is at or below two hundred percent of the
federal poverty level are eligible for child care assistance.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter nine of the code of West Virginia,
one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by
adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-two, to
read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. WEST VIRGINIA WORKS PROGRAM.
§9-9-22. Eligibility for child care assistance.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any person who is
otherwise eligible whose income is two hundred percent or less of the federal poverty level is eligible for child care assistance.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide that persons who
are otherwise eligible whose income is at or below 200 percent of
the federal poverty level are eligible for child care assistance.
